Lissy

Lissy is the oldest daughter of Augusto Marín. She worked side by side with her father in producing and designing all publications for his two retrospectives at the Museo de Las Américas (1995) and the Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico (2003) in San Juan. In 2010 she established the Fundación de las Artes Augusto Marín in San Juan, Puerto Rico to help preserve the legacy of prominent Puerto Rican artists and to develop expositions and publications in order to promote their art and cultural contributions. Lissy is a prolific artist who - like her father - enjoys working with mixed media to create art. One of her passions is to transform existing objects, and to give them new meaning and function. Lissy has over four decades of experience in conceptualizing and developing creative public relations events, as a graphic designer and visual artist. She headed her own agency, San Juan-based Marín Creative Group, for two decades. Lissy is the owner of Everyday Objects of Art, LLC, her personal business and brand that is currently in development in Florida.
